Ego State Therapy (sometimes referred to as “parts work” or IFS) is an approach I use with nearly every client. It is a very helpful way of understanding the personality and how we often feel internal conflict (we want to do one thing but end up doing another). You can read all the books, all the articles, watch all the TikTok videos about your situation or how you feel, but ultimately there is something going on inside that keeps you from making the changes you want to make. This is where Ego State Therapy comes in and helps you get “unstuck.” I am also trained in the Structural Dissociation Model of therapy for clients who are experiencing trauma-related dissociation.

I often use EMDR or Brainspotting with clients to process traumatic experiences and/or help clients who are “stuck” in anxiety, depression, unhelpful relationship patterns, etc.

I mainly utilize Trust-Based Relational Intervention and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy for families who are struggling. TBRI is a parenting approach that focuses on creating a secure attachment between parent and child. I typically utilize this for clients who are seeking parenting support with a challenging child. EFFT (Emotionally Focused Family Therapy) is a family therapy approach that I use with the whole family together in my office or with certain members of the family to forge more secure bonds of attachment. I really enjoy helping families to create a strong, healthy family dynamic that will last a lifetime.
